PAL Services & “Talking Jesus”. The Connexion Magazine (issue 13) encouraged Methodists to be more intentional about “Our Calling.” It explained how telling others about our faith (evangelism) can be more straightforward than we imagine. ‘It is rarely a clever argument or an amazing bit of street preaching’ as Rev’d Stephen Kindridge stressed. In order to help resource us when talking about our faith, the “Talking Jesus” course has been developed and we will be looking at it over the next 6 months at our PAL services held at Central on every 3rd Sunday at 6:30 pm. Come along and discover opportunities to grow in confidence and witness to the love of God in your lives through video-based teaching sessions, which will get us all thinking. For further information please contact either Revd Malcolm Jones or Revd Jo Smart. The first “Talking Jesus” PAL service will be on 16th June at 6:30 pm.
Film Night: Donations from the last Film Night amounted to £81.50.
Thank you: The Launceston Refugee Support Group (LRSG) has thanked the Central Methodist Church for the support and facilities the church has made and is continuing to make available to the group. As well as the storage of clothing and associated support items in room 6 - regularly shipped out to areas of great need on the continent, LRSG has been able to use Central’s excellent facilities on two well attended training days for volunteers and befrienders of the Syrian family who have now arrived in Launceston. Thank you for your support and please continue to pray for the work of the team and the welfare of the family as they settle in to their new life in Cornwall. Any questions please speak to Janet or David Rogerson (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.)
